Why Apple Besan is the Perfect Ingredient for Monsoon Recipes
You know who the best friend of rain is? A cup of garma garam chai with a plate of crispy, crunchy besan snacks.
We all keep hearing about dalwadas, fulwadas, bhajiyas, mirchiwadas, katri, bateta wadas, and kandawadas all around us. But do you know why besan is so popular during the monsoon?
Let’s decode why Apple Besan is the best monsoon food.
Easy to digest
Monsoon is a great season for our mind and mood. But the hard fact is, it slows our digestive system down. Due to increased humidity in the weather, our digestive system needs lighter sources of nutrition. Apple Besan is lighter than other flours and is easier on the stomach when the digestive system slows down.
Rich in protein
Protein is essential even on rainy days to keep you full for longer, support muscle health, along with sustaining energy levels. But other sources of protein can be heavy for the stomach; that’s why Apple Besan is the best choice. It is naturally high in plant-based protein.
Sustains energy
Apple Besan contains complex carbohydrates that release energy gradually in the bloodstream. This helps to prevent sudden hunger and cramps while keeping you energized for the entire day.
Naturally gluten-free
It is advisable to reduce gluten intake during the monsoon, and Apple Besan is one of the most nutritious alternatives that can be used in a variety of monsoon recipes.
Wide varieties of food
Apple Besan is one of the most versatile ingredients for making a wide variety of recipes that can brighten your mood. From vadapav to kandawada, sing bhujiya to kothambir wadi, and a wide range of bhajiyas, anything is possible with Apple Besan.
So, in celebration of the monsoon and the goodness of Apple Besan, here we share 3 amazing recipes, bound to bring Khushiyon ka swaad to your plate.
